Create a Life Uniquely Your Own
December 22, 2009I find myself calling on my favorite inspriation during this time of reflection and planning at the end of the year. Hanging on the file cabinet in my office is a page from my page-a-day calendar a couple of years ago with words that really spoke to me : “Have the courage to create a life uniquely your own.” I distinctly remember these words impacted me profoundly because they captured a thought I had not previously been able to articulate, and they were just what I needed to read that day. I needed to hear that the new path I was forging in my career required courage, and that my life was mine to create in any way I wished. It can be easy to follow what everyone else thinks is the right path, but they don’t really know what path is best for us.
These inspirational words also tell me to follow my heart, which I have learned in recent years holds the keys to my happiness and fulfillment. Listening to my intuition provides the inspiration to create my best life – that I know for sure as Oprah says.
I wish everyone infinite creativity and inspiration this holiday season and throughout the new year, and the courage to create a life uniquely your own.
