Cheryl Richardson’s book Take Time for Your Life-A Personal Coach’s 7-Step Program for Creating the Life You Want is a wonderful resource to help create the life you desire. If you have ever thought about working with a coach or have been curious about how a coach works with clients, this book is a must-read.
Take Time for Your Life walks you through how to get your prioirities in order, how to figure out what’s draining you and what fuels you, and steps you can take to achieve more balance and harmony. Cheryl includes exercises that are insightful and practical, and she focuses on the importance of taking care of yourself and nurturing your soul, which I have learned through personal experience are key for me to create a happy and harmonious life.
The true gem I found when reading this book was the realization that there are so many opportunities to integrate our areas of life to fulfill multiple desires. For example, I decided to attend a personal growth workshop in England instead of the US to tie together my desire to travel with personal growth and also to participate with women from other countries, and the experience was immensely enriching on so many levels! I learned that no matter where women live, we all struggle with similar challenges and the most important key to creating the life we desire is to love ourselves fully, completely, and unconditionally. With this kind of love for ourselves comes confidence, courage, harmony, and happiness.
